The Winter Aconite is finished blooming. The snowdrops are still looking nice. they have been joined by Crocus. And just yesterday, we noticed the first clump of violets.
My Favorite Crocus

Wild Violets

We've had cool weather. Mostly around 50 or lower as the high temperature. Gardening is done in jackets and sweaters

There are plenty of outdoor chores in the Barefoot to keep us busy. So much raking to do, rebuilding the herb bed, pruning trees. hauling branches, digging out weeds including garlic mustard, curly dock, Dandelion and Dames Rocket and others.

Yesterday we were very productive, I put a load of laundry  on the line, then continued to rake out flower beds. Walt busied himself with taking the electric cutter to thee dead branches of the spruces out in front. Just before quitting for the day we checked the bed we sowed last week and noticed ... the radishes are up!
